Staff at the Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP) have been performing Integrated Facilities Demonstrations to show proficiency at different tasks with the plant operating as designed. In the process, they’ve set records and achieved the most productive weeks yet for processing and destroying the chemical munitions stockpile stored since the 1950s at the U.S. Army’s Pueblo Chemical Depot. The data collected from such live demonstrations helps Colorado regulators set limits that protect the workforce, public health and the environment, and mark the end of Pilot Testing as the plant heads into full operations.
